The DIY Step-by-Step Guide to Hanging Plants in Your Shower.

Step 1: Find the perfect plant

The best plants have some sort of hanging feature. Either long vines, or stems that reach towards the ground, or big tufts of leaves, or funky looking trailing flowers. So find a plant that has a something unique that you can see when they are way up high. Also, make sure it works for your bathroom. Get a plant that thrives in your specific type of sunlight. Also, if it is in a main bathroom, a plant that loves humidity is key. A guest bathroom is better for a plant that likes dryness. Not sure what to do? Lucky for you, Shower Jungle has already written an entire article on what we think the best hanging plants are for your bathroom. See the list here.

Step 2: Pick out the Perfect Container

There have never been more options for picking out the right container for your plant. From macrame to leather plant hangers, there is so much out there. We found that this article really sums up the options and takes away the confusion. It is also important to use the right potting soil in the new container. We recommend this potting soil from The Sill, which is made specifically for plants that grow in tropical environments. It is no secret that humid bathrooms emulate tropical environments.
